If you are fed up today, then fill up. Most times when we are fed up we are full of the wrong things---- thoughts meditations, feelings.
God has a solution to our fed up. He wants us to fill up with the right things. Start with a few extra doses of the Word this week because we are cleansed by the washing of the water of the Word according to Ephesians 5:26. Taking in more Word will help to wash those toxic thoughts away. Read it, meditate on it and accept it as truth. Remember that we are supposed to think on things that are true and right, just, pure, lovely, admiral and worthy of praise. (Philippians 4:8) Think on those things.
Next, commit to seven days straight of thanksgiving no matter what. God is worthy, isn’t He? The great news is that our thanksgiving makes Him larger (magnifies Him) in our minds. In the day that we live in and with all the negativity that comes our way, we need our God to be bigger than everything else in our minds.
Finally, take a chill break and just sit with the Lord. Enter into His gates (His presence) with thanksgiving and praise as He directs us to in Psalm 100:4 and then sit a spell and chill. Instead of giving Him our laundry list of requests, ask the Lord what’s on His mind today. (Isn’t that what we would do for anyone else we were in relationship with?)
Later for fed up, get with the program. God wants us filled up with His Word, with thanksgiving and with Him.
Is that too much to ask?
